A Prayer for Breath

Whether you feel like you need to take a breath in the midst of hectic circumstances or you’re physically in need of breath, we are praying for you today. We believe that the Lord wants to bear the weight and burden of what you are facing with you.

A PRAYER FOR BREATH

God, not one of us can take a breath apart from You. You are the source of life, of every breath, and of all that is good.

Today we lift up those who are in need of physical breath. Those who cannot breathe for themselves or those whose breath is labored. In their room right now, I ask that they would feel Your hand on them, Your presence with them. Breathe the breath of life on them now. Quiet their hearts.

We also lift up those who feel they can’t breathe under the weight and pressures that they face. Fill them anew with Your Spirit. Give them your sustaining strength and life. When their strength fails, may they rest in Your promise to carry their burdens and carry them, holding their hand in moments of weakness. Help those who are overwhelmed to rest in Your arms, knowing You are holding their loved ones, too.

Thank you for Your faithful love and care for us. We love You and rest in Your promises and hope today. Amen.
