A Prayer for Wisdom

Wisdom is one of those things that I believe God is eager to give us. This prayer for wisdom is a starting point as you seek for peace, clarity, and direction for the road ahead.

A PRAYER FOR WISDOM

Lord God, please meet each of us where we are today. From places of joy to discouragement to peace to confusion — regardless of how we feel — we believe that Your ways are good and that Your wisdom is perfect. We know that you are the everlasting, unending source of wisdom and that you give generously when we ask. Knowing that you will provide, we ask for guidance and clear thoughts.

For those that are facing big decisions, we pray for Your wisdom to lead them.

For those that are feeling relief, we pray that they would remember Your provision.

For those that are feeling afraid, we pray for Your divine presence to comfort and guide them.

For those that feel confused, we pray for You to open their eyes, ears, and minds to hear Your voice.

For those that are doubting, we pray that Your promises would bring comfort to their thoughts.

When our world is chaotic, it’s easy to believe that the weight of our decisions rest completely on us. We ask that you would remind us of Your presence and remind us that we can trust Your leading. You are a good, good Father.

The fact that Jesus lived on the earth and experienced the emotions and ups and downs of life gives us comfort that You lead us in compassion. Please open our hearts and minds to experience the deep love and gentle leading of Christ.
