A Prayer for Confidence

Going into the new year, none of us knows what is ahead. We are asking the Lord to work against anxiety and to bring confidence, peace, and a strong identity for you. Knowing that God wants to work in and through us, this is our prayer for confidence.

A PRAYER FOR CONFIDENCE

God, as we turn the page to a new year, we praise you that you are a God who never changes. You alone know what 2018 holds, and you know the changes we will experience and what each day will hold. And in each of those moments, you promise that you will never leave our side.

In your greatness, you have adopted us as sons and daughters. As we walk through this year, give us an unwavering and sure confidence in whose we are and that you are walking with us through our days. Reminds us of your words: “I have called you by name; you are mine! … you are precious in my sight, ... and I love you.”

You give without measure all that we need. You are not stingy in your love toward us. Since we are your children, we have been given every spiritual blessing. Help us to walk in that truth this year. To enter each day with grace, faith, peace, truth, life, joy, and HOPE.
